Oakes Park in the Blake Road neighborhood will again host FREE summer programs offered by Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services! Programs include:
- Playground Program - for kids ages 6-12
- Summer Adventure Club - for kids ages 4-5
- Tiny Tots - for kids age 3

Playground Program for Kids Ages 6–12
A long-standing tradition, City playgrounds will be open for another fun-filled summer season. Numerous activities and events are scheduled for youth ages 6–12 during the seven-week program. Kids will participate in physical activities, arts and crafts and from time to time, will have special visitors from the Minnetonka and Hopkins Fire Departments and Police Departments. Playground participants are encouraged to attend the program for the entire time or drop in as their schedule allows. Preregistration is required.
When: 1:00-4:00pm, Monday–Friday, June 11–July 24 (no programs July 4)
*An end of the season carnival will be held July 24, 6–8 p.m. at Burnes Park
Summer Adventure Club for Kids Ages 4–5
Leaders will include weekly themes, arts and crafts, music, games, outdoor activities and storytelling for seven fun weeks. Please be on time for drop off and pick up of your children. Pre-registration is required.
When: 10:00-11:15am, Tuesday & Thursday, June 12–July 24 (no programs July 4)
Tiny Tots for Kids Age 3
Playground leaders will include weekly themes, story time, arts and crafts, and games for seven fun weeks. Parents may leave their child at the park for the program or stay with them during
the program. Pre-registration is required.
When: 9:00-9:45am, Tuesday & Thursday, June 12–July 24 (no programs July 4)
