There are seven categories for submissions and entries are due by December 30 at 4:00pm. Have you taken a photo that shows what a great community Hopkins is? Do you have some ideas that could become great photos? The City of Hopkins is excited to announce the 2011 Hopkins Photo Contest. Deadline to submit photos is December 30, 2011 at 4 pm.

Awards

• $100 Grand Prize Winner
• $100 First Place Prize for each category
• Publication of photo on City website and City newsletter
• Certificate of Appreciation presented at City Council Meeting
• Winning photos will be framed and displayed at locations in Hopkins.

• The Built Environment (e.g. architecture, public art)
• Historic Hopkins
• Business (e.g. window display, shoppers in action)
• Arts & Entertainment
• Education (e.g. classroom in action, athletic event)
• Nature/Outdoor Recreation
• Miscellaneous

Complete an entry form for each of your photo submissions and deliver or mail with your photo by December 30, 2011, to: Hopkins City Hall Attn: Tara Beard 1010 1st St South Hopkins, MN 55343

Rules

• Entries MUST specify a category.
• Submit photo finish prints. An additional electronic version is appreciated but not required.
• Photos must be 11 x 17 or smaller.
• Do not mat or frame photos.
• Photo content must be within Hopkins city limits.
• Include a complete entry form for each photo.
• All entries submitted must be your own work.
• If there are identifiable people in the photo and it was not taken in a public space, it is the responsibility of the photographer to obtain permission to use the photo.
• Submitted photos will not be returned and become the property of the City of Hopkins.
• Judges reserve the right not to award in every category.
• Deadline is December 30, 2011, 4 pm
